As we say goodbye to summer days and long warm nights it’s not goodbye at all to the festivities; things don't seem to be slowing down in Adelaide... Not one bit! If anything, it's ramping up to tremendous speed as we head into the March calendar of activities. The city and the surrounding suburbs are a buzz during what has been dubbed Mad March, with events, festivals and things to do all around the city.
Mad March is fast approaching, and with so many events on and things to do, it can be a little hectic to organise a casual catch up with friends, not to mention trying to find a park in the city at this time of year! At The Britannia Hotel in Norwood, we have a vast selection of things on our menu to pick and choose from, so we are the perfect city-fringe spot for a Friday or Saturday night dinner with friends away from the hustle bustle of Mad March events.
Adelaide 500 is coming, and we are getting ready for a big weekend of motorsport action to kick off the Mad March season of festivities. Britannia Hotel is situated right next to the track, so we have pole position for a quick escape from all the race day action. Be sure to get out of the heat with your mates and grab a cold one in the sports bar, or check out our newly renovated courtyard area.
Valentine’s Day is next week! – Don’t panic it’s ok, it seems like just yesterday we were getting ready for Christmas! If you don’t like the restaurant crowds, buying flowers, or can’t be bothered to go out on a weeknight, we hear you. We know you might just prefer some downtime with your loved one in the comfort of your own home.
Mad March is nearly upon us and one of the first events on the calendar to look forward to is the Adelaide 500 car races in Victoria Park. If you are attending the races, we have the goods to fuel you up for a big day of action-packed fun at the cars. Serving breakfast daily to keep you fuelled up and raring to go.
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. The day to celebrate love; to take your loved one out for a meal, buy some flowers, or enjoy a couple of wines. And it’s best not to leave planning a date with your significant other until the last minute.
MEET AT THE BRIT Getting out of the office to have a meeting can do wonders for breaking up your workday, and meetings with colleagues, clients and prospective clients in a different environment brings a fresh approach.
What is more Australian than spending Australian Day at the pub, watching some cricket, sinking some beers and catching up with some good mates?
Pleasing the whole family when you go out for a meal can be a mission! Everyone wants something different, and while the kids might be after schnitzel and chips, or pizza, and the hubby wants a decent steak and a glass of Shiraz, you might be after something a bit lighter and more refreshing.
Summer – The smell of coconut oil in the air, long days and beach tans are what the Australian summer is all about. It’s a time for reconnecting with mates, catching up on some sleep and the enjoying longer days and warmer weather.
