Mad March is nearly upon us and one of the first events on the calendar to look forward to is the Adelaide 500 car races in Victoria Park. Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. The day to celebrate love; to take your loved one out for a meal, buy some flowers, or enjoy a couple of wines.   And it’s best not to leave planning a date with your significant other until the last minute.

Pleasing the whole family when you go out for a meal can be a mission! Everyone wants something different, and while the kids might be after schnitzel and chips, or pizza, and the hubby wants a decent steak and a glass of Shiraz, you might be after something a bit lighter and more refreshing.

Summer – The smell of coconut oil in the air, long days and beach tans are what the Australian summer is all about. It’s a time for reconnecting with mates, catching up on some sleep and the enjoying longer days and warmer weather.

Summer Holidays need not be stressful, once the hectic Christmas and end of year wind down are over, January is the month to kick back and take it a little bit slower. And if you are one of the lucky ones that have most of January off even better.

The long-awaited summer holidays are just about to arrive for many of us, and the joy of having some downtime is fast approaching. Time to shut off the brain a little bit, and try not to think about too much until at least mid-January. It’s a time to wind down from a busy year, do less, and enjoy more.

Thursday is that day of the week when you are nearly at Friday, but not quite. You can already taste the weekend vibes, but you just need to push through one more day of work…. And cooking, especially as we head toward the end of the year can be the last thing on your mind….

The year is winding down, and the office Christmas parties are ramping up. The cricket is in full swing, and people are starting to let their hair down for the year. And as we move ever closer to a new year and begin thinking about new goals and challenges for 2018, we need to take the time to party and remember the year that was.
